Tool Bar

Tool bars contain icon buttons that perform vaious operations or open dialogs where information can be entered and/or displayed.

Buttons in the top tool bar will always be visible and active.

The icons in the middle and bottom panels are specific to their particular recipe panel.

They will only be active when their recipe panel is active.


Buttons in this tool bar are always active and do not pertain to a particular recipe panel.
Displays surface tension factors used in formula calculations. More...
Displays cone / temperature information. More...
Opens a dialog in which the cost of a displayed glaze is calculated and batch recipes can be generated. More...
Displays Limit Formula in a table. More...
Displays expansion factors used in calculating the coefficient of expansion for a recipe. More...
The window opened by this button allows you to access two material databases at once for the purposes of comparing raw material data. More...
Opens a window for displaying the complete contents of a recipe file. You can search for recipes in a database from this window. More...
This window locates the Al2O3 and SiO2 molecular parts of a displayed formula on a graph which also displays the Al2O3 and SiO2 limit formula parameters for the recipe's firng temperature. More...
The Limits window displays the complete seger (unity) formula of a recipe on a bar graph which also shows the limit formula parameters for the recipe's firing temperature. More...
This icon indicates the atmosphere which has been selected by the following toggle button. More...
This button switches the atmosphere setting for Matrix from oxidation to reduction. More...
Click this button to open Matrix's help system. More...
This button activates the printing of a displayed recipe. More...
Click this button to close Matrix.

Buttons in this tool bar relate to a displayed recipe in the active recipe panel. Each recipe panel has its own set of these buttons.
After changes have been made to a displayed recipe this button will restore the original recipe.
This button steps back to the previous recipe before the last change.
This button will round the recipe's quantities to either whole numbers or to one decimal place.
Use this button if you want to convert the quantities of the recipe to total 100
This button opens a dialog that allows you to change the quantities of a selected material in predetermined increments.
Click this button to send a copy of the recipe in the active panel to the next panel. The colours of this button change depending on which panel it is located in.

Buttons in this tool bar relate to a displayed recipe in the active recipe panel. Each recipe panel has its own set of these buttons.
Use this button to send the displayed recipe into the Formula to Recipe environment where the setting will be ready to create a new recipe from the formula.
This button opens a dialog window where you can add or change information saved with the recipe.
The recipe's text file is opened with this button in an editor where changes can be made.
Images saved with the recipe can be viewed/changed in the dialog that opens when this button is clicked. You can also add/edit notes associated with each of the images.
This button should be clicked when you are ready to save the displayed recipe. Note that there is a right-click option on this button.
This button should be used if you wish to save the displayed recipe to a recipe database.
Click this button to clear the contects of the recipe panel. Nopte: this does not DELETE the recipe from your hard drive.
